About Us

At Lymm Marina we specialise in selling new narrowboats & widebeams as a sailaway, sailaway lined, or even part fitted boat.
All work is carried out by experienced craftsmen at our boatyard, we can line out or part fit to customer’s spec.
We always have boats available to view and some available ex-stock.
We have a canal-side boatyard in the North-West of England, located in the Cheshire countryside on the banks of the Bridgewater Canal.
10 minutes from Manchester airport
30 minutes from Liverpool
1 hour from Birmingham

About Us

Our steel hulls are built by different quality shell builders, to suit different requirements & budgets.
When the steel work is finished, any further work is carried out by our experienced boat fitters to help your dreams become a reality.

I have spoken to a guy down there a few times now and I assume it was Chris. He seemed really helpful with ideas for keeping our boat within budget etc, so looks like a winner for us.

I bought a sailaway from Lymm Marina and was generally very happy with the whole experience. The main selling point was the owner's (Chris) attitude to boat building. When asked if he could do this piece of custom steel-work, or add in a roof light here, or fit this part inside, his attitude was simply "anything is possible".

The number of boats in stock was also incredibly useful when trying to determine what to order, or how certain features would look, and it was always quite fun to look around all the different boats. The whole marina staff were also incredibly helpful on "leaving day", when everything from licence disks /fenders /food /locks had to be in the same place at the same time before setting off.

Hi there, we too are looking into sailaways from LMBS went to see Chris couple of weeks ago, really nice bloke and great boats, we had a look round at some widebeams and showed us just what we wanted and what we can afford, no connection just hope to be happy customers!

We got our sailaway from LMBS towards the end of last year and they were great no problems whatsoever, Chris was very helpful and the lads working on the boats were friendly. We would definitely recommend them.
